🤗Today is gonna be a Good Day👏

Welcome  Gen-x-ers..., so nice to see you are here and back for more!

Mother Nature really does go the extra mile.....the sunrise earlier this week literally took my breath away. When presented with such a wonderful morning welcome from the golden glowing sky, I truly felt overwhelmed with gratitude to be witness to this phenomenon.

So it's not just worms, that "early birds" have an advantage over, it's drop-dead gorgeous sunrises too.

The weather can affect our moods and outlooks greatly, waking up to a sunny sky can enhance natural energy levels, but what happens when it’s cloudy and raining?  Although clouds and rain are welcome and have a very important role in our lives, I prefer to rise to sunshine and blue skies, it just makes me feel "Smily, Happy and Light Hearted".

I don’t know about you, but if I see the day ahead has challenges on the agenda which I am not looking forward to, this floods me with low energy. So before I have pulled the duvet off and dragged myself out of bed, I am already stalling to start my day. To help overcome this sluggish start and a heavy body feeling, I’ve learnt to put myself in a more positive state of mind. I have started to set pleasing goals and little treats for myself for inspiration.

One way of ensuring that you will have a good day is by making sure something fun has been planned. What I try to do as soon as I wake up before I touch my phone, before I even open my eyes, I think about what’s happening today. There will always be some challenging tasks and chores so I try to balance those with little things I enjoy. What would you like to add to your day that would bring a smile to your face? It could be sitting and reading a book for half an hour, a barefoot walk along a beach, essentially giving yourself time.

How about spontaneous moments? I just had to pause my blog writing, as one of my favourite songs played on the radio,  I jumped up for a little dance in the lounge, fist pumping and hip wiggling, I'm so glad no one is here to see me! I have to say, I do have a big grin on my face now, let's just hope Oli the dog is not too traumatised!  At times it's easy to forget and miss opportunities, this is something I am personally working on at the moment "carpe diem"

So I invite you to pause for a moment and either write down or at least consider what gives you that inner smile?

It could be cooking a favourite meal, trying a new herbal tea, walking your dog at the beach, meeting friends for coffee, running a hot bath to soak in with extra bubbles and a scented candle.....

When you’re finding your days are full of challenges make sure you build in a couple of little happy moments to give you joy.

This is a new habit and gift to myself, go on and try it .....you are ..... worth it.

It's good to remember, we are all responsible for our own happiness.

                                                               Catch up soon X💜X

  1. Similar to how your favourite song and spontaneous dance lifted your mood, I find playing some ‘feel good’ music and cup of my favourite coffee makes it that bit much easier to start the day, even in the depth of cold, rainy winter.
