Welcome Gen-X-Ers to the beginning of a New Year! 🤗 Welcome to 2026 🥳.

As 2025 drew to a close, I found myself taking stock and making time to reflect on the past few years of my life. Having found myself in a very new and challenging situation, I have learnt to stay still, find inner strength and hold on tight. This method has suited me well, providing the stability and confidence that keep me on track. I maintain faith that things will eventually go in a preferred direction, ultimately rewarding me with the life I choose and love.

When challenges have been presented, each one has forced me to face fears, resulting in a stronger version of myself. Without challenges in life, we tend to stick to the safe, well-trodden path that we're used to. On reflection, I discovered that for quite some time, I have been happily on my hamster wheel, going round and round, missing any chance of a new direction. 

Whilst running on the wheel, it's easy to keep on going, as long as one foot steps in front of the other. Creating the sensation that you are, in fact, moving forward. How could you not be? Unfortunately, feeling blinkered, it's easy to miss that the scenery around you is not changing. The reality is that the caged wheel is preventing you from moving on to anywhere new. 

Take a moment, Gen-X-Ers, to consider where you are right now. Are you on a hamster wheel?

If  "Yes" is your answer, do not despair. The wheel is sometimes needed and a necessary part of life, a time to get the job done or where being on the wheel feels safe and comforting. Staying within your comfort zone is needed at times; however, it's important to act on opportunities when they are a positive move and have been presented to you. 

There is no shame in having eyes down and treading the wheel; eventually, you will know when it's your time to get off. At some point, a big event or shift will arrive and push you sideways, derailing your usual path. 

It's ok to feel discomfort and deeper emotions, just know change is coming and may well result in a better scenario, it's all part of your life experience.

Soak up the intrigue and embrace the excitement and growth for 2026. Buckle up and get ready, the best is yet to come 💫.
